About Grief Stories

Helping Grief Make Sense.

At Grief Stories, we passionately believe sharing stories and insights fosters connection, helping people to cope with grief.

What We Do

Founded by professional filmmakers with their own grief stories, we strive to create an accessible, diverse, inclusive, multimedia on-demand resource helping people feel connected through shared stories from real people and professionals, offering insights about the experience of grief.

We all carry our own grief story - it’s both a unique and universal part of life. Grief is an adaptive and natural response to loss, but due to myths and stigma about grief and loss, it can be a very isolating experience.

The Solution? Connection.

Our innovation lies in combining rigorous grief literacy with the emotional power of storytelling. Unlike other virtual resources, which are often top-down and text-heavy, Grief Stories delivers narrative-driven multimedia vetted by our Healthcare Pillar Lead, a Canadian registered healthcare professional with expertise in grief and trauma. Every story is carefully reviewed to ensure factual accuracy, avoid harm or stigma, and support a diverse audience of grievers, their supporters, and professionals.
